EDITORIAL STANDARDS
Editorial Policy
Tech Torque Media publishes news, reviews, guides, features and analysis. This policy explains how we check information, approach reviews and handle commercial relationships.
Last reviewed: October 2026
Our editorial approach
We want our articles to be accurate, informative and worth reading. We cover breaking news, but also take time to examine products, services and developments in more detail.
Our reporting should distinguish established facts from opinion, speculation and analysis.
Accuracy, sourcing and verification
We check factual claims against reliable sources, including official information and original documentation wherever possible.
When information is unconfirmed, we make that clear. If important details change after publication, we’ll update the article where appropriate.
Reviews, testing and first-hand experience
Our reviews must have enough evidence to support their conclusions.
That may include practical testing, ownership experience, demonstrations, technical documentation or other reliable sources, depending on the subject.
We’re upfront about what we’ve actually used or tested. We won’t describe something as hands-on experience when it isn’t.
Gaming reviews that assess gameplay require genuine playtime, while film and television reviews require genuine viewing.
Products supplied for review, early access or event invitations don’t guarantee positive coverage.
Commercial relationships and affiliate links
Advertising, affiliate links, supplied products and commercial partnerships don’t determine our opinions or verdicts.
Some links may earn us a commission when readers make a qualifying purchase, at no extra cost to them. We disclose relevant commercial relationships and review arrangements.
Pre-publication factual checks
For certain interviews, technical articles or collaborations, we may allow a source to check factual details before publication.
This is an opportunity to identify mistakes or technical inaccuracies, not to approve the article. Headlines, opinions, reviews and final publishing decisions remain under editorial control.
Sponsored and paid content
Sponsored articles and paid partnerships will be clearly identified.
Payment doesn’t buy a favourable review, score or verdict. Commercial content is kept separate from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections and accountability
Mistakes can happen. When we confirm a significant factual error, we’ll correct it and explain the change where appropriate.
Our Corrections Policy explains how this works and how readers can report a possible error.
Editorial artwork and imagery
We use original photography, supplied media, appropriately licensed images and artwork created for the publication.
Some editorial illustrations may be digitally created or AI-assisted. Illustrative artwork should not be mistaken for an official product photograph or an image supplied by a manufacturer, publisher or racing team.
We respect third-party image rights, trademarks and copyright. An image being labelled as illustrative does not, by itself, give permission to use protected material.
How we use AI
AI tools help us with research, drafting, editing and other parts of the publishing process. Every article remains subject to editorial review, with the Editor responsible for the final content.
We check information against reliable sources and make it clear when a review is based on research rather than first-hand experience. We never claim to have tested, played, watched or experienced something when we haven’t.
