Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 5 has officially launched, delivering one of the biggest content drops since the game’s release. Available now across PlayStation, Xbox and PC, the latest update introduces new multiplayer maps, weapons, Zombies content, Battle Pass rewards and major additions to Warzone.

Whether you’re jumping into competitive multiplayer, battling the undead with friends or dropping into Warzone, there’s plenty to explore in Season 5.

New Multiplayer Maps

Season 5 launches with two brand-new 6v6 experiences:

  • Jubilee – A colourful Japanese festival town that quickly descends into chaos, offering a mix of close-quarters combat and long-range engagements.
  • Frequency – The popular Black Ops 4 map returns with updated visuals and gameplay for Black Ops 7.

More maps are planned during the Season 5 Reloaded update later in the season, keeping the multiplayer experience fresh.

New Weapons Join the Arsenal

Season 5 expands the weapon pool with several exciting additions.

Players can unlock:

  • FG42 Assault Rifle
  • Gremlin SMG
  • Mammoth LMG
  • New melee weapons and additional weapon attachments arriving throughout the season

Each weapon offers a different playstyle, giving players new options whether they prefer aggressive rushing or long-range engagements.

Zombies Gets a Brand-New Survival Map

Zombie fans also receive a major update.

The headline addition is Eidskallen Lighthouse, a brand-new survival experience featuring fresh objectives, new challenges and another chapter in Black Ops 7’s ongoing Zombies storyline.

Additional Zombies content, including new modes and challenges, is expected to arrive as part of the mid-season Reloaded update.

Warzone Expands: Welcome to Drone Labs

Warzone receives one of its biggest updates of the year in Season 5. The all-new Drone Labs Point of Interest (POI) reshapes the battlefield with fresh combat opportunities, giving players another high-risk, high-reward location to explore.

Alongside the new drop zone, Season 5 also marks the return of Resurgence Ranked Play, introduces exciting limited-time modes (LTMs), and delivers a range of weapon balancing, gameplay tuning and quality-of-life improvements designed to enhance the overall Warzone experience.

Spotlight: Lockdown Casual Mode

One of the standout additions in Season 5 is Lockdown Casual, a fast-paced 12v12 limited-time mode created to showcase the new Drone Labs POI while offering a more accessible and action-packed experience.

Unlike a traditional Battle Royale match, Lockdown Casual removes the looting phase and throws players straight into the fight.

Players can expect:

  • Custom Loadouts from the Start – Spawn with your preferred custom weapons instead of searching for loot.
  • Continuous Respawns – Jump straight back into the action as you battle to capture and defend objective zones.
  • Random Killstreaks – Every player begins with a random killstreak, while powerful rewards such as the Juggernaut can appear during matches, creating chaotic and unpredictable gameplay.

The mode is designed to keep the action flowing from start to finish, making it an excellent choice for both experienced Warzone players and newcomers looking to learn the new area.

Exclusive Lockdown Casual Rewards

Players who complete the mode-specific challenges can unlock a range of exclusive cosmetic rewards, including:

  • Area Locked Weapon Charm
  • Hostile Custodian Spray
  • Lockdown Hero Animated Calling Card

These rewards are only available during the event, giving players another reason to jump into the new mode before it disappears.

Battle Pass & BlackCell

Season 5 launches with an all-new Battle Pass, offering dozens of unlockable rewards through standard progression, alongside premium Battle Pass and BlackCell tiers for players looking to earn exclusive cosmetic items and bonus content.

This season’s Battle Pass includes:

  • New Operator skins
  • Weapon blueprints
  • Calling Cards
  • XP Tokens
  • Cosmetic rewards
  • Premium BlackCell-exclusive variants and bonus items

Whether you choose the free or premium track, there’s plenty of content to unlock as you progress through the season.

Limited-Time Events & Challenges

Season 5 keeps the momentum going with a packed schedule of weekly challenges, seasonal events and community activities.

Players can unlock exclusive cosmetics, weapon attachments and bonus rewards simply by completing matches and seasonal objectives throughout the event.

What’s Next?

Activision has already confirmed that even more content is on the way. The Season 5 Reloaded update is expected to arrive later this season, bringing additional multiplayer maps, game modes, weapons, events and gameplay improvements.
