The Weekend in Brief
Zandvoort produced a weekend in which the competitive picture kept changing. Antonelli set the early benchmark in practice, Russell took Sprint pole and converted it into victory, and Norris responded by securing Grand Prix pole before winning Sunday’s 72-lap race. Mercedes still left with plenty to show for its pace as Antonelli and Russell completed the Grand Prix podium.
Verstappen’s home weekend proved far more difficult. After finishing sixth in the Sprint and qualifying seventh for the Grand Prix, his Sunday race ended almost immediately with a crash at the final corner.
